Luka Doncic Uses One Word to Describe Mavs' Blowout Win Over Magic

Dallas dominated Orlando right from tipoff and Luka Doncic enjoyed playing the game.

The Dallas Mavericks comfortably walked away with a victory on Sunday night. They beat the Orlando Magic 108-85.

A strong effort in the first half saw the Mavericks leading by 25 points at the midway point of the game. Dallas managed to hold the reins on the game from there, cruising to the victory.

Arguably, the biggest reason for the Mavericks' dominant performance last night was none other than superstar Luka Dončić. He finished the game with 32 points (including 25 in the first half), nine rebounds, and seven assists while posting +21 during his minutes on the court.

When asked at the post-game press conference what led to the strong start, Dončić was very casual with his response.

"Today was real fun," Dončić told reports. "We were guarding everybody, defending, rebounding, and play with a lot of pace, so that's fun for me. ...Playing [at] home is always fun and with our fans, [I] just wanted to give them something."

The 32 points from Dončić was his second-highest scoring total of the season. The encouraging part of his scoring on Sunday was the efficiency with which he did it.

Dončić was 11 of 22 from the field, shooting at least 50 percent from the field for the first time this season. The Mavericks superstar has been a bit slow out of the gates in that regard.

Dončić is averaging 40.4 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from 3-point through six games this season. The performance against the Magic gives Luka something to build on moving forward.
