Klay Thompson Proves He's Still a 'Splash Brother' - And 'O.K.G.': Mavs Tracker
JULY 31 BRO! Klay Thompson is a member of the Dallas Mavs now.
But if you ask Festus Ezeli, with whom he played 218 games during their time as Golden State Warriors teammates?
He's still a Splash Brother.
Ezeli invited Thompson to his basketball camp - in Cameroon! - and there went Klay.
Ezeli's post: "Shoutout to Klay Thompson really taking time out to hang out with the kids, take pictures. To us, this is a few minutes. To them, this is everything! This makes me so happy!"
Thompson's pitch-in here is yet another good sign that the Dallas Mavericks roster has been fortified by what old pal Rick Carlisle used to call around here "O.K.G.''
"Our Kind of Guy.''
JULY 30 CHET HOLMGREN HIGHLIGHT REEL Oklahoma City Thunder's starting center Chet Holmgren recently played some pickup basketball, along with Dallas Mavericks Klay Thompson and Minnesota Timberwolves Rob Dillingham. Holmgren dusted off his sneakers following the playoff series loss to the Mavericks, and showcased what's possible for the Rookie of the Year runner up.
Of the plethora of highlights, the most notable saw Holmgren gliding through the paint for skillful finishes, Holmgren even threw a half-court lob assist.

JULY 30 FRESH AND CLEAN IN A NO. 31 It's been 21 days since the Dallas Mavericks held an introductory press conference for Klay Thompson. Mavs fans clamored for an elite shooter to pair with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Although they'll have to wait until October for the NBA season, they can support Thompson in another fashion.
The official Thompson Mavericks jerseys, donning the No.31, were released today. Despite the modern consumer's desire to shop online, the Thompson jerseys are exclusively available in the Mavs shop.

JULY 29 KLAY THOMPSON LOOKS AT HOME ON BASKETBALL COURT Although ESPN didn't think the Dallas Mavericks' acquisition Klay Thompson merited a mention in its offseason grading, Nico Harrison is somewhere with a smile on his face. Thompson spent the last 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, but last season, the other half of the Splash Brothers appeared unhappy.
However, in a recent sighting, Thompson looked comfortable, smiling through contested jumpers and a dunk during an open-run competition with NBA talent. Chet Holmgren and 2024 first-round pick Rob Dillingham also participated in the proceedings.
