‘Go Home, B****!’ Luka Doncic: NSFW ‘Hero or Villain’? Mavs Playoff VIDEO
DALLAS - Luka Doncic is equally capable of portraying the hero or portraying the villain.
He can be the bad guy who ties the damsel to the railroad track … or the “Doncic Do-Right” who rescues here.
Which is he, realiy? You get to decide.
“I love it. And when they chant, ‘Luka sucks!”,’ it gets me going,” Doncic said during the Round 2 playoff series at OKC - and his Dallas Mavs did get going, to the Western Conference Finals, where he’s now got Dallas up 2-0 over Minnesota - which now has every reason to despise him.
On Friday night at Minny, Doncic hit a game-winning contested 3 over the suddenly hapless 7-foot defender Rudy Gobert to cap a furious comeback and a win.
It took him a while to warm up; maybe he wasn’t yet feeding of off any hatred amid the famous “Minnesota Nice”? But eventually …
“Luka Magic” manhandled the Wolves with 32 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists. … and two NSFW admonishments.
One was directed at Rudy, a multiple time winner of NBA Defensive Player of the Year - but obviously not equipped to check Luka from 24 feet out.
“You can’t f***** guard me!” Luka screamed in Rudy’s ear.
And then Doncic turned to nobody in particular, we assume, in the Minnesota gym, and screamed again …
“Go home, b****!”
None of it was kid-friendly. (“Earmuffs!”) But all of it was … cool if you like the Mavs … or maybe if you just like the naked passion of a guy who wears his confidence on his sleeve.
Or … All of it was awful if you do not think those things are “cool.”
But either way: Every good tale needs a hero and a villain
