Mavs' Luka Doncic Joins LeBron James on Historic, Exclusive NBA Playoffs List

Luka Doncic's Dallas Mavericks might not win the NBA Finals this year, but his postseason performance puts him in an exclusive club that only features one other player: LeBron James.

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has lit the league on fire throughout the first six seasons of his career. During his first trip to the NBA Finals this season, Doncic has put up incredible numbers and joined an exclusive club.

Doncic joined LeBron James as the only two players in NBA history to produce at least 500 points, 150 rebounds, 150 assists, and 35 steals in a single playoff run.

Through 21 playoff games this postseason, Doncic is averaging 28.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting 44.5 percent from the floor and 32.7 percent from deep. Through four NBA Finals games, Doncic is averaging 29.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.5 steals while shooting 47.0 percent from the floor against a historic Boston Celtics team.

Despite falling into a 3-0 NBA Finals hole to the Celtics – a deficit no NBA team has ever come back from in 156 tries – Doncic and the Mavs bounced back in Game 4, dominating with a 122-84 blowout win.

"Like I said at the beginning of the series, it's first to four [wins]," Doncic said. "We [are] going to believe until the end. So we just got to keep going. I have big belief in this team that we can do it, so we just got to keep believing."

Although Doncic keeps making history by joining the likes of LeBron James in certain statistical categories, he'd much rather make history and sit alone as the only player to lead his team back from a 3-0 series hole to win a championship. Game 5 will tip off in Boston at 7:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
