JULY 8 JOSH GREEN SAYS THANK YOU Following the sign-and-trade that brought Josh Green to the Charlotte Hornets, the former Dallas Mavericks guard addressed his time with the Luka Doncic-led franchise on social media.

Green averaged 6.4 points on 37 percent shooting from distance in his four years in Dallas.

The 2024 NBA Finals showcased Green's main NBA skill: playing energetic basketball. Stats don't convey Green's impact on the game, but upon watching the 6'5 guard zooming across the court, you'll notice the high effort with which he plays.

JULY 7 BARNES MOVES The San Antonio Spurs helped facilitate a trade between the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls that sees DeMar DeRozan join the Kings. ... and sees Harrison Barnes coming back to Texas.

Barnes, 32, spent time with Dallas and won a championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2015.

The Spurs desperately need shooting; Barnes can help there.

But the Spurs didn't get the reunion.

They did, however, help faciliate the trade as the Sacramento Kings get DeMar.

In the deal, DeRozan received a three-year $74 million contract with the Kings. San Antonio netted former Warriors (and Mavs) forward Harrison Barnes in addition to Sacramento's unprotected 2031 pick swap and Chicago received Chris Duarte, two second-round picks, and cash.

Sacramento seeks its second playoff bid in three seasons following the trade for six-time All-Star DeRozan.
