He added seven rebounds, one assist, and three blocks, marking his second consecutive game coming off the bench. Impressively, the Mavericks remain undefeated (4-0) all-time when Gafford scores 20 or more points.
The starting five also played efficiently, with Kyrie Irving making a strong return after missing the previous game due to a shoulder injury. Irving tallied 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Luka Doncic added 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while Dereck Lively’s defensive effort stood out with four blocks.
The Mavericks’ ability to dominate on the boards (53 total rebounds) and capitalize on bench production proved the difference-maker against San Antonio.
